Class Descriptions



BEGINNERS YOGA
From method comes muscles. This series is great for anyone who likes repetition and consistency. It is always the same sequence. 10min warm-up, 10min balancing, 10min standing poses, 10min backbends, 10min core strengthening, 10min cool down, 10min corpse pose/meditation. (level 1 /2)
SACRED MUSIC
During our Candlelight Flow Yoga you will enjoy a peaceful and relaxing candlelit room as you move from one pose to the next. This hot, dynamic class encompasses a strong standing flow to heat up the body with an emphasis on deep juicy hip openers. all levels welcome (level 2/3) minimal verbal instruction
FLOW & RESTORE
In this slow flow practice, you will release tightness and gain strength and balance in a nurturing environment. Great for beginners or any level of student looking for a deeper mind, body, breath connection yoga practice (level 1)
ACU-YIN FLOW
Known for her creative, dynamic flows, Shelly has designed a new restorative class beneficial for all bodies called AcuYin.

In this fresh approach to a yin class, Shelly guides students through a sequence of slow, gentle seated and prone poses using tennis balls and blocks to encourage natural release of tight myofascial tissue and overall relaxation.

Freedom of movement and shorter holds distinguish AcuYin from a typical yin class, making AcuYin accessible for students who have difficulty finding stillness or struggle with tension or discomfort.

Soothing music and thoughtful assists promote comfort and well-being, allowing students to go deeper into their experience. (level 1)
CORE FLOW YOGA
Practice Core Flow regularly and you will notice more tone in your entire body, as well as, improvements in range of motion, flexibility, circulation, posture, and abdominal strength.  You'll also benefit from the decrease in back, neck and joint pain! (all levels)
RESTORATIVE YOGA & GONG
Relax! If it were that simple, we would all do it on command. Willing yourself to relax through proven techniques is possible, though. Yoga postures with intentional breathing help relax the body and mind. Meditation, especially with the gong, is a powerful, and not so subtle method to facilitate deep relaxation.

Deep relaxation restores you. Proven relaxation techniques and sound current facilitate deep and even profound states of relaxation. These deeper states of relaxation are where your nervous system gets reset. Relax, restore, reset.

MEDITATION
Meditation is a means of transforming the mind. By engaging in a particular meditation practice you learn the patterns and habits of your mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being.

YIN YOGA
Restorative Yin Yoga seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body. (level 1)
SOULFUL SUNDAY

SLOW FLOW
In this slow flow practice, you will release tightness and gain strength and balance in a nurturing environment. The pace of this class is great for beginners, yet challenging for the more evolved practitioner who needs to slow it down. (level 1)
VINYASA SLOW
Vinyasa Flow is athletic in nature, combining hard work with deep relaxation to build strength, flexibility, concentration, and balance. You will sweat. ( all levels)

PRIVATE YOGA INSTRUCTION
Private yoga lessons are an excellent way for new students to learn yoga in a non-intimidating environment that customizes yoga to the needs of the individual.
At the same time, they provide a means for more experienced students to refine their skills and gain access to advanced practices rarely taught in the classroom that may lead to great physical and energetic shifts.

Private yoga lessons can be used to address concerns such as injuries, therapeutics, energy balancing, and can even be used to transform bad habits, including postural misalignments and behavioral patterns. 45 Minutes Private Lessons: $75.00

Measured Yoga Therapy, a research development of the Institute.
Measured Yoga Therapy (MYT) is a method of predicting the long term impact of any mind-body activity (epigenetic factor) from a single session.

This is based on bio-energy assessment which is the basis of traditional medicine systems like Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine.

This is used for not only preventive applications like stress reduction to avoid future chronic disease manifestation, but also to reverse existing disease conditions.
